Ascocentrum orchids are beautiful Vanda relatives. They are generally smaller and compact in size. They are like Vandas but  smaller and brightly colored long lasting flowers. When an Ascocentrum is hybridized with vanda they are called Ascocenda.

This is a matured blooming size  Ascocenda. Flowers are often red in color and changes to deep orange as it ages.
